Good RDM practices during data analysis help ensure, as much as possible, the ability to retrace the decision-making processes that took you from data collection to reporting on the findings associated with those data.
UBC provides access to several data analysis tools for multiple disciplines and for both qualitative and quantitative research. The licenses to these tools are most often managed by UBC IT. UBC Library, through the Research Commons on the Vancouver campus and the Centre for Scholarly Communications on the Okanagan campus, provides training on some of the tools licensed by UBC IT.
For a comprehensive list of available software, visit UBC IT’s resource page. UBC Library training can be found on the workshops section of this site.
For any software used on UBC's high performance computing infrastructure, or to make a request to access new HPC research software, contact UBC Advanced Research Computing.
Additionally, some faculties provision discipline specific tools. Support for, and inquiries related to these, will come directly from your faculty.
