Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Information for Participants
This workshop will introduce the basics of visualizing data in Tableau. It includes hands-on practice, so in order to participate fully, please do the following before the workshop:
- Install Tableau Desktop Public Edition (free) or Tableau Desktop (free for verified students) on your computer. Both versions work equally well for this workshop. (Note: Requests for the free Tableau Desktop student license are verified first, the download is not immediate. If installing shortly before the workshop, please choose Tableau Desktop Public Edition instead.)
- Download the Labour Force Survey, 2020 sample dataset (CSV file on Google Drive, 72MB).
- Optional: if you are using Tableau Desktop Public Edition and would like to save your work, sign up for a free Tableau Public account.
The main workshop content will be one hour long, followed by a period for practice and review to reinforce what you learned or consult with the instructors. Workshop materials are available at https://ubc-library-rc.github.io/tableau-intro/
